We are excited to be part of a “Ladies Day” initiative which aims to support female riders with anything and everything motorcycle-related – and also be there for those ladies who have an interest in, or are looking to get into the world of motorcycles.

TALK TIME "GETTING ON TWO WHEELS" 

@ Maidstone Harley-Davidson

With special guest speakers from Moto Girl and Mid Kent Motorcycle Training School.

If you are relatively new to riding or keen to get onto two wheels, this talk time session will cover off key information about the journey on two wheels. Topics delivered by Mid Kent Motorcycle Training School will include: why to ride a motorcycle, common 'barriers to riding' addressed, the licensing journey, the importance of motorcycle safety, safety clothing options from Moto Girl, help to 'get on' to two wheels and a Q&A session with a new rider.

Whether you are a new or experienced rider who is interested in getting some valuable motorcycle maintenance tips, or don't yet have a motorcycle - but are keen to know what's involved in maintaining a motorcycle - this is the talk time for you! Join one of our Master Technicians for an informative hands-on session, covering key maintenance.

RIDE OUT TERMS OF PARTICIPATION 
 
By attending and participating as a rider or passenger in a Laguna Motorcycles Ltd. organised ride-out, you:
 
  • Must ensure that you are duly licensed, insured and competent to operate a motorcycle in a safe and responsible manner, and that your motorcycle is in a safe operational condition
  • Understand that you are solely responsible to determine a safe speed and operational characteristics of your motorcycle whilst participating in the ride-out
  • Must wear the appropriate personal protective equipment, and you acknowledge that it is a legal requirement to wear a safety helmet
  • Must not be under the influence of any narcotic, alcohol, or any other substance that may impair your understanding or judgement whilst participating in the ride-out
  • Agree to abide by any rules/directions given by the organisers of the ride-out. If you choose not to abide the rules/directions given by the organisers, or you are operating in an unsafe, or disruptive manner, your privilege to participate may be removed
  • Are fully aware of the danger(s) and hazard(s) associated with participating in a motorcycle ride-out

RIDE OUT SAFETY

We will be operating a "corner marker" system during the ride out. If this system is new to you, do not worry, we will be giving a full briefing before heading out on to the road. During the ride out, please remember to:

  • Follow instructions of the lead rider and markers at all times
  • Ride behind the lead rider
  • Leave plenty of space if you choose to overtake
  • Follow the speed of the ride & stick to speed limits
  • Wear your helmet at all times
  • Obey street signs
  • Be cautious of other road users
